“Corruption free government is not a necessary condition for rapid economic development if the corporate and institution’s work is checked, progress is possible”
S. Swaminathan

Corruption is a common word which has become a common subject of discussion in all the spheres of life and all the corners of the world. It is an incurable disease that not only weakens our moral virtues but also harms the laws. In any form corruption is treated the cause of many social and economical evils. It is said that corruption has become so deep that people have for gotton the values of morality and virtues like honesty kindness and truth. It is true that corruption breeds on the top and gradually gives its results in all parts.

Infact corruption has become so usual that it does not shock us. We give and take bribe in the sector of education, Government and private fields, trade and commerce and in all the branches of the administration. Corruption is even in
religious and educational institutions. So corruption has become, a main feature of today. It is true that the growth of corruption is due to our social, religious and political degeneration.

In India, corruption is the result of a good relation between politicians and offenders so political corruption is usual in India at present. It weakens political system and maximum damages laws. In democracy elections are also the main
cause of corruption because voters are threatened to vote a particular candidate.

“Corruption and hypocrisy ought not to be inevitable products of democracy as they undoubtedly are today”
M.K. Gandhi said

Thus it is clear that politician: are constantly in the thirst of money. Who do not care about the weifare of people. After winning elections they make their main target to do the best corruption. Most of the time of their politics is spent for the
protection of their seats and some of time is spent to earn money therefore they adopt corrupt activities. Chanakya rightly said in his “Aithshastra”.

“When a fish drinks water, it is utmost difficult to know in the same way how and when a politician takes bribe, it is difficult to know.”

On the other hand increasing modernization is the another main cause of corruption. Every person seems to be in a hurry to earn more money as well as our educational system is not free from corruption. In medical and engineering courses
for taking admissions, priority is given to donatioin comparison meritorious students.

Lord Acton also said – “Power tend’s to corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely”

Thus the danger of corruption has become so does that it should be controlled. There should be a great change in all the sectors of the administration. We will have to make many strict laws to eradicate corruption. Transparancy should be in everything done by the Government. We will have to aware people for it. Laws should be enforced strictly. Otherwise, they will prove as futile as ‘a snake without venom’. On the other hand, for eradicating corruption corrupt people should be punished. They should be boycotted form society. Corruption can be eradicated only if the administration is vigilant, Watchful and strict. Today we need people such as Kiran Bedi, Jogindra singh. T.N. Sheshan Who believed in this principle “Power comes from sincere service” In a nut shall it can be said that corruption is a dreadful disease to destroy the administration at all stages. It hurts all moral and social values. Not only the government but also our public life is not free from corruption so corruption has become a good relation with one another.
